VIP may disclose information in the following circumstances.

Officers, Leadership, and Authorized Volunteers

Information may be made available to VIP officers, committee participants, and authorized volunteers who need it to respond to inquiries or administer VIP activities.

VIP Members

When reasonably related to an inquiry, referral, introduction, membership matter, or organizational activity, information may be shared with an appropriate VIP member. We do not provide the contact-form database to members for unrestricted mass marketing.

Service Providers

  • Form processing;

  • Spam filtering and website security;

  • Data backup and storage;

  • Analytics and performance measurement; and

5. Sale and Advertising Use of Personal Information

VIP does not sell or rent personal information.

VIP does not disclose personal information to third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website and its service providers may use cookies, server logs, pixels, or similar technologies to:

  • Enable basic Website functionality;

  • Remember preferences;

  • Protect forms against spam and abuse;

  • Maintain security;

  • Measure Website traffic and performance; and

  • Understand how visitors use the Website.

You can adjust your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking certain cookies may affect Website functionality.

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no universally accepted standard for interpreting all Do Not Track signals, the Website may not respond to those signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of a browser-based opt-out preference signal, VIP will honor that signal as required.

7. Data Retention

VIP retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

Member-directory information is generally retained while the person remains a member or while VIP has a legitimate reason to maintain an organizational record. Contact-form messages and technical logs may be retained according to operational needs and the retention practices of the applicable service provider.

Information may be deleted, anonymized, or securely archived when it is no longer reasonably necessary.

8. Data Security

VIP uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information it maintains.

However, no website, email transmission, or information-storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You provide information electronically at your own risk and should avoid sending sensitive information through an unencrypted contact form or ordinary email.

9. Your Privacy Choices

  • Delete information, subject to legitimate retention needs;

  • Remove or update a public member profile;

  • Stop sending nonessential communications; or

  • Address a question about how your information is used.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained when reasonably necessary to comply with law, maintain organizational records, protect legal rights, prevent fraud, or complete an ongoing transaction.

To opt out of nonessential email communications, follow any unsubscribe instructions included in the message or contact VIP directly. VIP may still send administrative communications relating to membership, meetings, or an inquiry you initiated.

10. California Privacy Information

California law may provide certain residents with rights concerning their personal information. Depending on the law and whether it applies to VIP, these may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about disclosures.

The California Consumer Privacy Act generally does not apply to nonprofit organizations. Nevertheless, VIP will consider reasonable privacy requests and will respond as required by applicable law.

VIP does not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right.

VIP may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in its Website, practices, service providers, or legal obligations.

The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through other reasonable means when required.
